Nautilus Yacht Management is proud to present to market this magnificent example if the highly sought-after Outremer 5X.
Launched in 2020, Lia's first owner took delivery in France in 2020, but due to Covid lockdowns was very lightly used. Her current owners, a family from the US purchased Lia and further equipped her for world travel and comfortable, luxurious life on board with a focus on safety, independence away from shore for long periods of time and shorthanded sailability. Throughout their ownership of the yacht, they continued to upgrade and maintain Lia at no expense spared. Lia is presented turn key and ready to take you anywhere in the world.
The French have long been synonymous with exceptional boat building and design, and the Outremers, for the many decades since their first model took the sailing world by storm in 1984, have remained un-dethroned as the very best catamarans in the world for many reasons. Outremer is one of the only multihulls that even the most committed mono-hull sailors will covet. Sailing performance, even as cruising yachts designed with safety in mind, shows unbelievable speed, yet smoothness in even difficult sea conditions. Most of the sails can be adjusted from the helm, where an array of electric winches make it easy for the boat to be sailed even by one person alone or a shorthanded crew.
“The intent is to build a boat that will last 50 years,” said Outremer director of sales Matthieu Rougevin-Baville. Outremer yachts are built with this commitment in mind and a religious effort to keep their owners safe over the millions of miles covered by their boats, where adventure can go along with peace of mind and a fast, responsive boat can also remain safe and comfortable both at sea and at anchor.
Lia delivered this promise and will continue to deliver it for decades to come for her new owner.
A Word From The Owners:
"LIA is a 2020 Outremer 5X that we chose very intentionally. Outremer has built one of the most respected performance cruising brands in the world, and we knew that if we chose anything else, we would always wonder if we had settled. That feeling never came. LIA has exceeded every expectation.
She offers an exceptional balance of speed, comfort, and versatility. The sail plan can be run simply for ease of cruising or optimized for performance sailing. On passages, this is where she truly separates herself. We crossed the Atlantic in 14 days and the Pacific in 20 days, consistently completing passages in significantly less time than most cruising vessels. Fewer nights offshore means more time enjoying destinations.
We took delivery in La Grande Motte, France, and have since sailed extensively through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, U.S. East Coast, Bahamas, and South Pacific. LIA has always been privately owned, never chartered, professionally maintained, and hauled annually.
We are the second owners. The original owner kept her for approximately one year during Covid, and she presented as nearly new when we purchased her.
LIA is highly outfitted with premium equipment, including extensive carbon upgrades and a top-tier sail inventory. She is fast, capable, and exceptionally well suited for serious bluewater sailing or comfortable liveaboard life.
We are selling simply because our family is entering a new phase after nearly seven years of full-time travel. Otherwise, we would continue sailing her and likely reposition her to the Caribbean.
LIA is fully equipped and ready to depart immediately."
