Psipsina is presented in outstanding, turnkey condition and will suit a discerning buyer
Comes fully loaded and ready to continue on her adventures today.
--------------------------
Psipsina has been privately owned by a single owner since new and has never been chartered.
Factory extras specified at the time of build include: owners' cabin configuration, dolphin seats at the bow, additional 2:1 screecher halyard (allowing simultaneous rigging of jib, spinnaker and screecher), bidets and electric-flush heads, universal power sockets throughout, structural drogue attachment points at the stern, and full air-conditioning plumbing: pumps, panel and electrics are all installed and ready, requiring only the addition of a Velair i16 VSD unit to have a fully functioning system.
Beyond her factory specification, Psipsina has been comprehensively kitted out for comfortable bluewater cruising and extended liveaboard life. Her sail plan has been proven across the world's largest oceans. The solar installation comfortably meets the daily needs of two full-time liveaboards, with a generator on hand to cover extended periods of overcast weather. Every system, upgrade and piece of equipment has been selected and installed with serious offshore cruising in mind – she is genuinely ready to step aboard and go.
The owners have maintained Psipsina to an exacting standard throughout. Engines have been serviced every 100 hours without exception, gelcoat has been polished every six-to-nine months to protect and preserve the hull, anti-foul paint every 12-18 months, and all routine maintenance has been carried out proactively rather than reactively. She will be hauled in Valaga Boatyard, Fiji on 10th August for a survey by Don Buckley of Admiral Marine Surveying, fresh anti-foul and gelcoat detailing. A buyer can take confidence that there are no deferred maintenance items and nothing waiting to be discovered.
Psipsina is the Lite model, powered by two Yamaha T25 HT (High Thrust) outboard engines, rather than inboards, simplifying servicing considerably (alongside the OC Tender’s Yamaha F15), without needing to haul out, and only one fuel type is needed onboard. The outboards lift clear of the water when not in use, reducing drag, adding ~0.5kts of sailing performance, and - most importantly - eliminating the risks associated with saildrives (massive water ingress on collision), or wrapping lines or debris in the props when underway.
With 15,000 offshore miles already logged across two years of continuous liveaboard use, Psipsina comes maintained, surveyed, with all the spares you might need. She is ready to take her new owners on their new adventures without need for hauling or immediate maintenance work.
Please read on and click on the Additional Descriptions for the detailed inventory and list of recent upgrades. This truly beautiful yacht is continually maintained and improved at no expense spared. Her owners are on board and will welcome you for an inspection or via video call if you wish.
Nautilus Yacht Management carefully curates all our listings to suit bluewater cruising for the past 15 years, choosing to represent only immaculately presented yachts with the features and qualities needed for offshore voyaging and live-aboard. We have assisted hundreds of cruisers, new or experienced, to discover this magical lifestyle.
A Word From The Owners:
"Psipsina is a single-owner 2024-built Seawind 1160 in exceptional condition, purposefully chosen and meticulously prepared for serious off-grid bluewater cruising. Purchased with the clear goal of crossing the Pacific and living aboard full-time in remote anchorages, she has proven herself to be a capable, safe, easy-to-manange, and rewarding catamaran across 13,000 miles of ocean – from the Pacific Northwest down the US and Mexican coasts, into the Sea of Cortez, and across the South Pacific to Polynesia, Beveridge Reef, Niue, Tonga and Fiji.
In a market increasingly dominated by poorly-built "condomarans", the Seawind 1160 stands apart. Its longstanding design philosophy prioritises build quality and structural integrity, the two characteristics that matter most when crossing oceans hundreds of miles from help. Psipsina is hull #151, and the twenty years of incremental refinement built into this platform is immediately obvious on boarding. With multiple 1160s having circumnavigated, an incredible owner’s community, and Seawind's sterling reputation on its established models, she inspires complete confidence offshore. We had chartered a Seawind before purchasing - having previously only sailed Lagoons and Balis – and were immediately struck by the difference in design, layout, comfort and sailing performance.
Since taking delivery in Seattle in August 2024, Psipsina has needed nothing but routine attention. After two years of full-time living and 13,000nm of cruising, she has had just two warranty issues: the beginnings of a mainsail tear (sail replaced entirely by Doyle in Sep ‘25) and a small leak in an aircon hose. A survey will be conducted at the owner’s expense on 15th Aug ‘26 , 2026, to give prospective buyers transparency before flying out for an eventual viewing. At the same time, we (the owners) will be re-doing the bottom paint (Micron International 2), compound & waxing the gelcoat, servicing the engines and inspecting the rigging, so that her new owners can literally step onboard and sail away.
Psipsina strikes an ideal balance between performance, comfort and simplicity. She averages around 6 knots on long passages sailed conservatively, short-handed and fully loaded, and pushes comfortably to 8 knots when called upon. She can be handled with ease by a couple and is manageable for single-handed sailing. Her 1.1m draft opens up anchorages that deeper vessels cannot access – there is nothing quite like swinging on the hook in 2 metres of crystal clear water.
Life aboard has been equally considered. The saloon's large forward windows and tri-fold door create airflow that is a relief in the tropics, a feature unique to the Seawind. The galley-down layout gives the saloon a huge area and the cook space and separation while remaining connected to both interior and exterior, and includes a pass-through window for safe and easy disposing of food trimmings on passage we don’t know how we’d live without. The owner's hull features an extremely generous bed and a spacious walk-in shower. Forward deck sofas are extremely popular with guests, and also unique for a catamaran of Psipsina’s size.
We have sadly always planned to sell Psipsina – this was only meant to be a one-year sabbatical, which quickly became two. As British and French nationals, we are heading back to Europe to return to work and be closer to family. We have absolutely adored our time living aboard and are confident she will be every bit as perfect for her next owners as she has been for us." David and Jessica, Fiji, August 2026
