1980 Compass 28 now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
Compass 28 with extensive refurb done over the last 3 years for the single-handed owner that has safely taken her up to The Whitsundays and returned recently to Pittwater where she will stay until sold.
This rare extended version of the classic Compass 28 from 1980 has had a 2018 re rig of standing and running rigging.
The engine was replaced at the same time and is a Beta 14hp shaft driven diesel 2 cylinder showing 380 hours on the meter and still under factory warranty.
A 2019 inflatable dinghy plus 2.5hp Suzuki four stroke are included.
All the electrics were re wired in 2018 and upgraded electronics to match including a Simrad GPS plotter and auto tiller steering system.100 watts solar.
Also, in 2018 the skin fittings were all replaced so she is in all round good health and ready for another adventure or the perfect entry level yacht for a small family wanting to get in at a budget level to yachting.
The sails are 2007 and comprehensive, including a battened main in boom bag with lazy jacks, spare main, furling genoa plus a storm jib.
Accommodation down below can be set up for 6 and there is a basic but functional galley set up with single burner portable stove.
