'Grenada' - Classic 1957 Sugar Scoop Timber Motor-Sailer

Introducing 'Grenada', a beautifully crafted 1957 raked stern, timber motor-sailer designed by R. H. Thomas and built in Tasmania by respected shipwrights Doug Russell & David Fabre. She is a standout vessel for lovers of traditional timber craftsmanship and graceful coastal cruising.

'Grenada' had a major refit in 2022 and has had over $250K spent on her including all new electrics costing over $70K.

Measuring 11.9m in length with a 3.35m beam and 1.40m draft, 'Grenada' delivers excellent balance and comfortable passage-making. Her masthead cutter ketch rig includes a mainsail with no boom, one pair of inline spreaders, and two furling headsails on the main mast. This is an adaptable setup ideal for both ease of handling and capable performance under sail. Offering 2 helm stations you can be sure to enjoy sailing 'Grenada' in all weather conditions.

Step inside and you're welcomed by a charming timber interior featuring a functional galley, cosy accommodation, an inviting saloon, and a comfortable cockpit. All combining to create an ideal environment for leisurely cruising or weekend escapes.

'Grenada' is a vessel with real character, history, and soul perfect for someone who appreciates classic design and the timeless appeal of a true Tasmanian-built timber motor-sailer.
