Swanson 42’s are known to be amongst the best choice of yacht for bluewater sailing and there are plenty out there that have circumnavigated the globe. This fine example, launched in 2001, would undoubtedly be the best Swanson 42 that has ever floated. She is a credit to her current long-term owners.
The encapsulated keel with skeg hung rudder is always a safe choice for blue water passages. An extremely comfortable boat at sea or at anchor.
The interior is warm and inviting and is simply a pleasure to spend time in. Reverse cycle air condition to all cabins and interior areas is a lovely bonus for both the tropics and those colder locations.
The generous sized aft cabin is spacious and private with fully enclosed ensuite. A large workshop area is forward at the bow with another fully enclosed private ensuite to starboard. Accommodation for 8 people.
Extensive upgrades have been made to her electronics and the standing and running rigging was replaced in 2018 whilst also sand blasting the mast and boom back to bare metal before re painting.
