Laurie Davidson 36 built in Queensland in 1980 exclusively for sale with DBY Boat Sales. This is a famous classic yacht that many will know. She has an excellent racing record and will make a very good day racer or fun boat. EXPRESS comes with good sales and a Volvo engine with low hours.
EXPRESS is a Laurie Davidson design, crafted with triple diagonal planks and reinforced with Dynel sheathing. She was originally built to compete in the 1981 Pan Am Clipper Cup in Hawaii, where she became the only vessel to win every race in her Division. Even today, EXPRESS remains highly competitive, boasting numerous victories under IOR rule and later IMS and now ORC. Wherever she sails, she draws attention and admiration from those who have either raced on her or against her.
EXPRESS has comfortable accommodation with 4 bunks, a galley and head along with Cat 7 Safety equipment. Her sail inventory includes a main, 2 jibs and 2 spinnakers.
Built by a consortium from Queensland EXPRESS has been with the current owners family since 1990 providing countless memories, both racing and cruising. She is ready to continue to do the same with her future owners.
