Nautilus Yacht Management is proud to present this rarely available 2021 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47, Owner's Version.
Her owners commissioned her specifically for Bluewater cruising, and at the time of build worked with the factory to add multiple additional comfort and safety for their voyage over 5 idyllic years from France to Fiji.
Presented in turnkey condition, Seaduction is a proven ocean voyager with an impressive inventory, second-to-one attention to detail and religious maintenance to keep her in 'as new' condition.
Seaduction is ready to continue her circumnavigation and comes with everything you need to just step on and sail away.
Specialising in Bluewater cruising vessels and with very strict listing criteria to ensure suitability for serious ocean voyages, Nautilus Yacht Management has built a reputation over the past 15 years as a point of reference for families looking for a liveaboard cruising yacht. This Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 is a rare find, and an ideal choice for someone looking for something 'as new', yet without the teething issues common to brand new boats, and the lengthy, costly upgrades to transform a production catamaran into a yacht suitable for safe and comfortable ocean passages and independence from port for extended period of time.
With representation in French Polynesia to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia to assist cruisers along South Pacific route, we are here to help both sellers and buyers with the logistics involved from registration to insurance, delivery, import, survey, storage and crewing if required. Ex- cruisers ourselves we just strive to help others begin their journey on the ocean.
If you feel that Seaduction could be what you are looking for, please get in touch! Our team can organise a private video viewing, discuss the purchase process with you as well as have all the time you need to answer your questions, put you in touch with the owners if you wish, assist with organising your visit, purchase, delivery home if needed, insurance, berthing, crewing, etc.
A Word from the Owners:
"We have been full time cruisers since departing France onboard Seaduction in May 2021. Since then we have met so many amazing fellow cruisers, sailed to 29 different countries, an Atlantic and Pacific crossing in 2024 and 2026 respectively and have absolutely loved our time blue water cruising.
We believe the key to this was choosing the right boat to live on 24/7, as well as one that was capable of passage making. This was not an easy task. We joined many forums and Facebook groups, watched numerous Youtube ‘influencers’ to try and gain an understanding of which brands and models would best suit our requirements. Our brief was relatively simple, be self-sufficient, comfortable and capable of long-distance passage making. After narrowing down our selection we eventually decided that the Fountaine Pajot Saona 47, Maestro 3 cabin, Owner’s version was the cataraman for us. So, in September 2019 at the Cannes Boat Show, France we placed a deposit for a boat that would not be delivered until early 2021.
Our physical sailing journey started in La Rochelle, France when we collected our 2021 Fontaine Pajot Saona 47 catamaran from the factory, which we called ‘Seaduction’. In the time spent waiting for our boat to arrive we collected quite a number of great ideas from other catamaran owners, and so with a long list in hand, we set about upgrading the basic factory model Saona 47 to a standard which we believe sets us apart from any other Soana 47 globally.
The main key features for selecting our perfect catamaran were simple. The huge amount of storage afforded by the Saona 47, including the walk-in starboard forepeak and port forepeak accessibility has proved to be invaluable for holding on-board stores and spare parts; essential for off grid living. Secondly, the configuration of the galley provides a safe, convenient and functional work space for meal preparation on passage, as well as at anchor. The third key consideration was the amount of fuel and water we could carry at 950 litres and 750 litres respectively. Essential capabilities for blue water cruising, and of course the sailing performance of the Saona 47 is exceptional and perfect for cruising and passage making…..and she is stylish and pretty.
After 5 wonderful years, we now feel it is time for us to step off Seaduction to spend more time at home in Australia with family and to travel more widely on land.
Strong Points:
We have owned Seaduction since new and the selection of the Owner’s, Maestro, Comfort Fit version, which came at an additional cost of approximately 10% of the new base price, meant that she came from the factory with all of the available factory upgrades, including Video TV/HIFI pack, TV/radio antenna, Bose sound system, Outdoor cushions (cockpit + lounge deck), 2 Electric winches, cockpit blue courtesy lighting, 2 VOLVO 60-D2 HP engines, 3-blade Volvo folding props, Rope Cutters and Carpet in both hulls, to name but a few extras. The investment in Seaduction, guided by a long list of ‘upgrades’, was completed post factory in La Rochelle and was significant (circa EUR 130,000). We have continued to invest in capability and ‘great idea’ upgrades over the past 5 years (circa EUR 25,000 per year). This approach, coupled with an annual service maintenance schedule, while expensive, we believe has kept our boat in first class, as new, condition. We have always invested in a pre-emptive maintenance and investment approach and it has served us very well over the past 5 years." Neil and Kirsten, Fiji, August 2026
