'Freedom' is a 2001 Beneteau Oceanis 393, listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Pittwater, Sydney.
Designed by Berret/Racoupeau and built by Beneteau, the Oceanis 393 is a well thought out boat that fits a wide variety of uses.
'Freedom' presents with a genuinely impressive spread of recent upgrades. The electrical system has been substantially modernised, headlined by three 200Ah Invicta lithium batteries professionally installed in October 2025 alongside a dedicated AGM engine starter battery. She also has a 2600W inverter. Combining these two upgrades gives you a huge amount of power to have onboard so if you’re thinking of spending extended periods onboard or you just like creature comforts like a coffee machine then you won’t have to worry using them onboard Freedom as you’ll have plenty of power available. The current owner installed Starlink so if you want to stay connected while on anchor or cruising offshore then you will be able to.
The navigation equipment has all been updated. The chartplotter is a B&G Vulcan 7R which was fitted in September 2026. Installed alongside the chartplotter she features a B&G hydraulic autopilot with a Triton2 controler. The VHF radio was installed new in 2024 and included AIS with transmitting and receiving capability keeping you safe if you’re looking to cruise up the coast.
On deck the standing rigging was fully renewed in 2018 and has a good sailwardrobe that makes the boat genuinely fun to sail. Something worth mentioning is the new dodger and infill that were brand new in 2026 and the bimini was renewed in 2022.
Down below she is a 2 cabin 2 head layout. Forward we have a pullmans berth in the forward cabin to port with the ensuite forward. The aft cabin is spacious and the second head with a shower is located to the stbd side by the saloon. The saloon table also drops down to form a double berth. The galley is functional and has a surprising amount of fridge space.
The boat has been well maintained and is ready to go cruising. The Volvo 50hp diesel, showing approximately 2,500 hours, was most recently serviced in July 2026, and the hull was antifouled and treated with Propspeed in June 2026, with some through-hull fittings replaced at the same time. Ground tackle includes a Muir HR1600 windlass with remote control at the helm and 40 metres of chain (2022) plus warp, and the boat is equipped with a full safety package including an EPIRB, life jackets, flares, and both manual and electric bilge pumps.
