This one-owner example of the highly regarding blue-water 50 Deck-Saloons is well equipped to take you wherever you may dream of cruising. Ease of handling is key with in-mast furling mainsail, an electric coach-roof winch, bow-thruster, inner furling storm jib and cruising spinnaker in a sock.

The cockpit is huge with long bench seats and a varnished teak table for alfresco dining. This generation of Jeanneau has two steps to a dedicated swim platform, and this yacht has been fitted with a custom davit system for the alloy bottomed inflatable tender. Forward there is a large climb-down bow-locker for all that extended cruising gear.

The saloon is bathed in light and even at seated position there are wide views from the long hull windows. All the key features are here with a full size nav’ table where there is a repeater plotter (with radar), invertor, battery monitor, the Onan 5kva generator controls, HF and VHF radios, AIS & a Ericson W25 Modem. The huge galley has a top and front-loading fridge, a separate dedicated freezer, which can also be switched to fridge mode, perhaps for drinks, a microwave and abundant storage.

The yacht has full reverse cycle air-conditioning, driven by either shore-power or the factory fitted diesel gen-set. The saloon features seating to port and a U-shaped dinette to starboard. Guest cabins are aft with the day head to port, then the owners cabin is forward with a large island style double, lots of floor space, a vanity unit and ensuite with shower screen. There is also a washer/dryer installed.

Well maintained from new this yacht has just had new standing and most running rigging, an engine service, and canvas was renewed last year. This Briand design is highly regarding for its offshore capability with excellent manners in a sea, and superb cruising performance.
