DESCRIPTION
Major overhaul in 2021 including two brand new Volvo Penta D4-320 diesel motor packages with Joystick Docking ($180,000.00), Two new Garmin plotters 1 x 12inch 1 x 5inch with sounder plotter and autopilot also wired to the engines for live data read out. All new cockpit seating and carpets throughout. New Davco electric platform on the back ($35,000.00) with Highfield aluminum bottom tender and 15hp Mercury outboard. The list goes on!!
The arrival in 2001 of the M430 Sports cruiser was significant confirmation. Trade-A-Boat's reviewer said she "provides adrenalin-charged sportiness and true cruising comforts to boot". Club Marine magazine's reviewer commented on the "light and airy" saloon. She stared on the front cover of Trade-A-Boat magazine. The M430 was the first of a line-up of three sports cruisers that Riviera would launch over little more than a 12-month period.
Life onboard centered around the deck that combined a starboard-side helm with a companion seat forward, an L-shape lounge around a GRP rectangular dining table immediately aft, and a second lounge across the transom. A wet bar was located on the port side opposite the dining lounge. Forward, the long, sleek foredeck included a sun pad that could be accessed either from side decks or through a door in the aft-raked windscreen.
Forward and below through a sliding door, the single-level accommodation offered two cabins, an enclosed bathroom with a separate shower stall, a well-equipped galley including a two-burner electric cooktop, and a U-shape dinette around a timber table. The master stateroom forward included a queen walk-around bed and storage and hanging clothes lockers. The second cabin, aft, was a surprise in its volume. It included both a double and single bed. Natural light came from portholes.
Riviera built 145 M430s over seven years including strong sales overseas, particularly in the United States where she was branded as a Wellcraft Excalibur.
