DESCRIPTION

Opportunity Knocks for the savvy yachting enthusiast looking to complete this refit and pick up a great buy.

Already the current owners have spent over $1m on this yacht, but due to offshore commitments MV Chelsea is seriously for sale, and all offers will be considered.

Although the list of works is extensive, everything is there ready to go, including new hatch windows, and most of the internal spaces and cabins have had the under coats painted.

This would be a great opportunity for a Shipwright team to bring her back to life and either make some money when reselling or enjoy with their families.

A bit about the boat:

MV Chelsea is a 30-metre luxury Tri level motor yacht, built in New Zealand in 1996 to an Alan Warwick design by Wayne Olsen Horizon. The vessel underwent a major refit in 2001, which included fitting the Detroit Engines. With a cruise speed of 14 knots and top speed of 20 knots she has great performance Model 60 Series Detroit MTU DDEC 700 hp diesels coupled to Seafury surface drives.

Internally she has four state rooms and study, all with en-suites, plus additional four berths forward for crew or additional quests. In total 14 Berths on this by well-equipped cruiser. The lower deck is for accommodation with master full beam with master cabin and island queen, second cabin with queen island and two other cabins, one with double and the other with triple single berths. Mid deck is for entertainment with glass enclosed aft deck, large surround seating and galley. The forward area houses the study/entertainment cabin. Forward in the mid deck, there is a raised helm. The Flybridge has helm controls plus undercover and exposed entertainment areas, fridges, BBQ and comfortable seating. MV Chelsea is the ideal vessel for the family looking for a long-range cruiser suited for cruising in absolute comfort and entertaining in grand style.

Currently MV Chelsea is sitting at Neutral Bay Wharf, we have not run the engines as these would need a mechanical survey before starting, nor have we fired up the electrical system.
