A fast comfortable and safe yacht
The Inglis/Gal 47 gives you the pleasure of sailing aboard a high performance boat. Dolce is perfectly balanced for sailing at speed with little strain on the helmsman or the autopilot.
A perfect combination of speed, comfort and the pleasure of sailing. The enjoyment of a fast, safe sail to an early afternoon anchorage is a great pleasure. This is the sailing experience of dreams; times to be shared with family or friends.
Ease of sailing
Many years of cruising and regatta sailing is reflected in Dolce’s design. It was our dream to create a yacht with offshore capability but still reflecting the style of the European dayboat. Foremost was a yacht which could sail properly without a large crew. This required a deck and cockpit layout which is really easy to use. Dolce’s uncluttered deck layout makes for easy movement around the boat, under sail and at anchor. Sail handling can be performed from the cockpit, protected from the waves. The Anderson electric main halyard winch makes life easy; sail handling is no longer a heavy physical activity.
Enjoy the comfort below deck
Dolce is a comfortable boat, uncluttered and spacious, with clean lines. Generous windows and large opening hatches, with a 30mm thick foam sandwich deckhouse make for a pleasant place to be on the hottest summer day.
Discovering new horizons
Dolce is well balanced and able to safely peel off long miles in light and heavy weather. The pleasure of speed, the discovery of new horizons and the comfort on the water, makes Dolce a unique fast cruiser. You can get to your destination quickly and in complete safety. It is always a great pleasure to drop anchor, swim and then relax in the large cockpit.
Gearing up for a successfulI cruise
Dolce has many recent improvements. The mast and rigging (both new in 2016) were redesigned with smaller, non overlapping headsails with no compromise to speed. The complete wardrobe of high performance sails are either new or less than 2 years old. (One of the owners is a well known sailmaker!) The keel and rudder, designed by Andy Dovell and built by Noakes, were brand new in 2012. A full suite of Raymarine electronics including a powerful autopilot was installed by a marine electrician in 2013. A watermaker, hot water and large refrigerator make voyaging a great pleasure. The anchor is on a windlass. The sun awning extends from the stern to the mast. The dinghy, outboard and barbecue are all close to hand and easily deployed. In short this is a very modern, fast and easily sailed cruiser.
