The 1982 built Sparkman & Stephens 39 "Magic" was raced extensively offshore and at club level for many years, achieving consistently good results. She carries race memento plaques for no less than Seventy (70) ORCV offshore events along with 8 gruelling Sydney to Hobart races. In recent years, she has had a quieter life, participating in club races, mid-week and twilight social racing. A Victorian sailing legend and a past Club champion at Sandringham Y C, "Magic" has more than proved her worth as a safe, solid and reliable yacht.
She has a good sail wardrobe, Furling headsails and Electric primary headsail sheet winches to make sailing easy, She has Raymarine and Garmin electronics, HF and VHF radios, a reliable diesel engine and a comfortable interior for the odd weekend away if you choose to cruise. Well kept by her long-time owner who has now retired from sailing, she is sensibly priced and represents great value. They simply don't build tough offshore capable yachts like this today!
