World first hydrogen IMOCA yacht construction

Phil Sharp, one of Britain’s most competitive and successful ocean racers, has today announced the build of a new zero emission IMOCA ahead of the 2024 Vendee Globe.This new monohull designed by Manuard is currently under construction at Black Pepper Yatchs, a specialist in the construction of high-performance boats. The build is using existing moulds that have been recycled and reworked. Due to be launched in the summer, the yacht will compete in the IMOCA Globe Series starting with the Transat Jacques Vabre in autumn, followed by a return qualifying race for Vendee Glove 2024. The first Bali 4.4 Catamaran coming to Australia soon

The first Bali 4.4 catamaran by Catana to arrive in Australia will be in time for the Sydney International Boat Show next July. From a distance it seems like a really smart boat and here are some of the unique design features. The foredeck is solid, thus creating an extra cockpit, which can be served though opening windows at the front of the galley. Further, there is a lockable door giving direct access to the galley, now in the centre of the boat, and the saloon. A double door, floor to ceiling fridge with an ice maker and chilled water fountain comes next to port with the saloon to starboard to seat eight people comfortably. The surprises don’t end here though; at the press of a button the whole aft bulkhead is lifted by a hydraulic ram and secured under the solid bimini to give easy access and direct airflow…
