The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2025. Delivered yet another stellar showcase of marine innovation, luxury, and lifestyle on Queensland’s sun-soaked Gold Coast. Held from 22–25 May 2025 at the stunning Sanctuary Cove Marina. This year’s event brought together an impressive blend of cutting-edge vessels, passionate boating enthusiasts, and a world-class festival atmosphere.
As an attendee, I can confidently say SCIBS 2025 was more than just a boat show. It was a celebration of the boating lifestyle in all its forms.
From the moment you step through the gates. SCIBS has a way of pulling you in with its relaxed yet high-end vibe. This year’s event boasted over 800 boats, 330 exhibitors, and thousands of marine products. A record turnout that kept the boardwalks buzzing with excitement.
Whether you’re a seasoned skipper or just starting to dip your toes into the boating world. There was something for everyone. From luxury motor yachts and catamarans to fishing tinnies and PWC displays, the variety was impressive and accessible.
One of the biggest drawcards was seeing new model launches and international debuts up close. The Maritimo M50 Flybridge, for example, drew big crowds with its sleek design and Australian craftsmanship, while Riviera continued to turn heads with its world-class line-up of luxury cruisers.
The electric Candela C-8 hydrofoil stole the show for those keen on sustainable innovation – gliding silently across the water with futuristic flair.
For those wanting to make a day of it (with a little extra luxury), the Lagoon Beach Club was the place to be. With coastal-chic vibes, Veuve Clicquot on ice, and gourmet canapés flowing, it offered a perfect vantage point to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The setting truly embodied the lifestyle side of boating – not just the vessels themselves, but the people, the community, and the experience of being on or near the water.
While boating may be the main event, SCIBS 2025 made sure there was plenty for families too. The Kids Zone was a hit with young visitors, and live music, pop-up bars, and food trucks kept everyone entertained between marina strolls. It’s this balance that gives SCIBS such a broad appeal – whether you’re there to buy, browse, or just soak it all in.
In its 36th year, SCIBS has once again proved why it’s known as “where the marine business does business”, and why it continues to lead the Southern Hemisphere’s boat show circuit. The event combines top-tier brands with an easygoing Queensland spirit – a mix that’s hard to beat.
If you’ve never been, put it on your radar for 2026. And if you’re a regular, you already know why it’s worth coming back year after year.
