Allpower Marine Expands Hyundai SeasAll Range
17th Aug 2011

Allpower Marine has unveiled two new Hyundai SeasAll diesel models – the U125 and the H420, expanding the range from the 170hp and 250hp horsepower engines already available.

Allpower Marine has unveiled two new Hyundai SeasAll diesel models – the U125 and the H420, expanding the range from the 170hp and 250hp horsepower engines already available.

The new 4-inline U125 is now currently the smallest engine in the range and is rated at 125hp at 4000 rpm.  Like its larger brothers, it will be available in inboard, jet and sterndrive configurations.  The engine displaces 1582 cc (nominally a 1.6 litre engine) and achieves maximum torque of 260nm at 1900 rpm.

Allpower Marine Business Development Manager, Mark Harrison, says the new U125 is a great addition to the current Hyundai SeasAll model range.

“The base engine, which was developed and is produced by Hyundai Kia Automotive is one of the world’s ‘best in class’ in its category.  It has Hyundai’s modern common rail design, delivers outstandingly smooth running, low emissions and excellent fuel economy. The engine will meet all RCD and EPA Tier III emission regulations,” says Harrison.

“We see this engine as being a great option for anyone looking to power smaller craft with a lightweight, economical and powerful diesel power plant - particularly trailer boats.”

The new H420, extends the top of the range, produces 420hp at 1800 rpm and delivers 1961nm of torque from 1100 rpm.

The 9960 cc (nominally 10 litres) inline-6 features a full electronic fuel management system and electronic unit injectors in order to meet current and future emissions requirements (KST, RCE, MED (SOLAS), BSO, CCNR and IMO).  The engine can also be classified in order to meet the requirements of various classification societies for Type Approval.

“The H420 will have great appeal to commercial users as well as the motor yacht and passage maker markets, which are fast becoming a very popular segment in Australasia.”

The new models will be available for sale in Australia and NZ late 2011 and in the European market by March 2012. Both engines will be on display at METS in November 2011.

A new 12.7 litre engine rated at 520 hp at 1800 rpm will be joining the line-up by early next year.
