The unsinkable trimaran. Sailing in the 3rd dimension.
Quorning Boats was founded in 1967 by Borge Quorning with the aim to build high quality boats of good performance. Today known worldwide, Quorning Boats are represented in 23 countries. Since its inception the company has designed and built more than 700 boats of all kinds from 16' to 52' and concentrated on Dragonfly trimarans since 1981.
Introducing the Swing Wing system in 1989 started a new era in the Dragonfly history, making it possible to reduce the beam to less than 50% without the use of tools working from the cockpit in only 2 minutes. Since then no fixed wing boat has left the yard.
Quorning Boats' goal is to manufacture the best folding trimarans available.
In 1995 the company was handed over to the second generation, Jens Quorning, who has been working in the company since starting his apprenticeship in 1979.
This experience reflects in the technique of production and quality of every Quorning Boat. The Dragonfly Swing Wing family will continue to be state-of-the-art in every aspect for years to come.
