DESCRIPTION
2024 brand new Houseboat is now being sold exclusively with DBY Boat Sales. This gorgeous houseboat is 6.9m long with several already sold - with more in production! One is now in a pond - see photo!
The traditional ‘boat house’ is something you see along the shoreline in many places around Australia, particularly on Pittwater. With their weatherboard exterior, corrugated peaked roof and a wooden deck facing the water, they’re part of the quintessential waterfront lifestyle.
Until recently, you could only have one of these if you had a waterfront property – now you can have one anywhere, and even better, you can move it whenever you want a new view!
The Tiny Houseboat offers all the advantages that come with most houseboats, including maximum space for their length but without the usual compromise in nautical style. Now you can have a houseboat that looks like it belongs amongst the most elegant yachts on the bay.
Built to last, the Tiny Houseboat has polyethylene hulls, a full aluminium deck frame and acrylic cladding. The idea behind the design is close to zero maintenance and a craft that will give many years of enjoyment without requiring a lot of attention.
It may be hard to believe, but in just 6.9 metres (just under 23 feet) you get two couches that comfortably seat six adults for dinner or sleeping for three (one single/one double).
There’s a separate head with electric flush toilet and pressure water, ample storage, and room on the back deck for a couple of deck chairs either side of the deck box that not only holds the deck shower, water fill hose and fuel tank, but also serves as a great small table to serve the wine and cheese.
Filament LED lighting throughout is powered by dual 140Ah batteries, with 250W of solar to keep the 75L fridge/freezer running and you can even check or change the temperature via Bluetooth from your phone.
If you’ve picked up moorings on many boats, you’ll know that having a ‘deck hand’ to go forward with the pole is often handy and sometimes essential. On the Tiny Houseboat you can reach out the front door with the boathook and snag the float while still keeping a hand on the wheel. Like many things in this little house on the water, it’s as simple and friendly as possible.
If you love the waterfront lifestyle and like many, your boating is often about being with friends and family on a great mooring to just enjoy being on the water, then the Tiny Houseboat could be the boat you’ve always needed – it just didn’t exist until now.
