‘Ceilidh’ (Kay-lee) is a 2011 Beneteau Oceanis 50 that is now listed exclusively for sale with YOTI Pittwater.
Another beautiful family cruiser from the Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design team, this is the “fifth generation” of the Oceanis line for Beneteau. The very clever addition of the arch over the cockpit in this iteration of the Oceanis 50 had multiple benefits including providing a sheeting point for the mainsail and in doing so, negating the need for a traveller. It also provided the perfect mounting point for the dodger. The cockpit in the 50 is a brilliant place to entertain. Her high comings provide plenty of support to lean back on and the large centreline folding table has plenty of room for whole family. A hinged "drawbridge" that folds out of the way gives easy access to and from the transom whether you're swimming or boarding from tender or dock.
Heading below down the gently sloped companionway stairs is safe with plenty of hand grips. Once inside, you are surrounded with beautiful, warm timber and supple leather (Blanc) finishes. Ceilidh is a three-cabin layout with a stunning owner’s cabin forward with a large double bed, private ensuite and desk/vanity table and there are two large double cabins aft, and a guest/day head off the saloon.
Ceilidh is fitted with a Raymarine E90W touchscreen chart plotter in the cockpit on a pivoting plinth, with Navionics gold card and there is a Raymarine C90W chart plotter at the navigation station, also with Navionics gold card and separate antenna. She has a Raymarine Autopilot, wind, speed and depth instruments and Class B AIS.
Standing rigging was replaced in 2019, and she comes with a Selden inner forestay (not currently fitted) with a Harken tensioner. The cockpit is blessed with 2 x Harken 60.2 STECH two speed electric primary winches, 2 x Harken 50.2 STC two speed spinnaker winches and 2 x Harken 46.2 STECH two speed halyard winches (port side electric) and there is a good array of sails including a fully battened Dacron main, Dacron No 1 headsail, a Carbon No 3 headsail, Dacron No 4 headsail and an Asymmetric cruising spinnaker.
