RIVIERA 70 MAKES ITS WORLD DEBUT AT THE SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Australia’s largest luxury boat builder, Riviera, officially unveiled its new flagship 70 Flybridge at the opening of the Sydney International Boat Show today.

This magnificent new vessel, the largest production cruiser ever built in Australia, is the centrepiece of the largest display at the Show. Riviera and retail network R Marine will cover nearly 4,000 square metres on water, showcasing 21 boats including 14 Rivieras, five Princess motor yachts and three Grand Banks motor cruisers.

The total value of boats on display is about $46 million.

The Riviera 70 Enclosed Flybridge has a price tag of almost $5 million and already Riviera has forward orders for five of these massive vessels.

The second in Riviera’s new Offshore Express line, the 43 Offshore Express, will also have its world debut at the show. This new model is the second Riviera to feature Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, including joystick control for close manoeuvring. Sydney showgoers will also have their first look at the impressive 61 Enclosed Flybridge, the 38 Open Flybridge and the 48 Offshore Express.

The Riviera 51 Series II and 47 Flybvridge models both feature modern new saloon design, the epitome of
luxury and fine taste.

Riviera will also display the new option single bathroom version of its 41 Open Flybridge model. The boat features an extended second cabin with accommodation for three guests.

The three Grand Banks models on display will include the 65 Aleutian RP, which was officially launched earlier this year at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the 45 Eastbay SX.

The Princess range include the new Princess 50.

Vessels displayed will range in size from 38 feet to more than 72 feet in length.

Riviera’s R Marine retail network is the official Australasian distributor for Grand Banks and Princess luxury motor cruisers.

R Marine Managing Director Tim Sayer says this year’s Sydney Boat Show will be one of the best yet.

“Not only will this year be our biggest Sydney display ever, but we’ll also have the largest array ever of impressive new models on show,” Mr Sayer said.

“The world release of Riviera’s new flagship, the 70 Enclosed Flybridge, is a huge milestone for the company.

“We’re looking forward to a strong market response.

“We’re confident all our latest models will be well received.”

Riviera’s CEO Wes Moxey said Riviera was committed to staying at the forefront of the international boat building sector and its focus was to continually improve, upgrade and expand the range of vessels it had on offer to the boat buying public.

He said that Riviera recorded total sales of $40 million with 26 boats sold at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

“Sanctuary Cove proved that, despite difficult economic conditions, if you have the right offering and give people the very latest, they will respond,” he said.
