Over $22 Million worth of Maritimo luxury vessels at Sydney Boat Show
19th Jul 2011

"We will have boats ranging from the new Maritimo built Mustang 32 sports cruiser right through to the Maritimo M73 which is 81.5 feet long so the line up is impressive," said Mr Barry-Cotter.

Seven years after its debut at the Sydney International Boat Show Gold Coast based luxury boat builder Maritimo will this year have the largest display of boats on show with a stable of 14 vessels valued in excess of $22 million.

Founded in 2003 by Australian boat building legend Bill Barry-Cotter Maritimo has gone from strength to strength and taking the mantle as the largest on water exhibitor at this year's Sydney show is a major milestone for the company.

"We will have boats ranging from the new Maritimo built Mustang 32 sports cruiser right through to the Maritimo M73 which is 81.5 feet long so the line up is impressive," said Mr Barry-Cotter.

"At our first Sydney show in 2004 we had just two boats, both M 60's."

Maritimo's Marketing Director Luke Durman said getting all the boats to Sydney in time for the show at the end of this month was a logistical challenge.  Most were making the trip by sea with three of the boats going to be displayed, the Mustang 32 Sports Cruiser, the Mustang 50 and the Maritimo C47 making the journey by road.

"We will have a total area of 2200 square metres at the Sydney International Boat Show and our 14 vessel display will be a dominant visual presence."

Maritimo's newest models on display will be the Mustang 50 and the Maritimo C53 Sports Cabriolet.

The Mustang 50 is a large, three cabin entertainer with a generous aft deck, fully enclosed saloon, well equipped aft galley and full-beam master stateroom amidships with a striking queen double bed set at 45 degrees from the keel line.

The Maritimo C53 Sports Cabriolet provides three sleeping cabins with the master amidships on the port side. Inside the air conditioned saloon the galley spreads across the aft with the main cooking and food preparation area on the starboard side. The large aft deck has a long lounge across the transom and a second L-shaped lounge inboard under an electric lift window. The C53 is a surprise packet from the moment you step aboard the wide swim platform. The entire transom lifts on an electronic actuator to open 'the garage' for access to a tender.

Mr Durman said in addition to the exciting line-up that the Maritimo team would have on display at Sydney the company would also be providing the first glimpses of its latest boating innovation the Mustang 43 sports cruiser.

"This will be the first time that renders and layouts of the Mustang 43 will be released publicly and we expect it to create a great deal of excitement," he said.

Mr Barry-Cotter said Maritimo was at the forefront of new design and innovation in the boating industry internationally and intended to retain that position.

"We continue to research, review and reinvent to make better boats with greater sea keeping capabilities," he said. "Our goal is to continue to provide leisure boating options to a broad cross section of the boat buying public.

"The Mustang 32 sports cruiser is a fantastic entry level vessel perfectly suited to relaxed family boating and at the other end of the spectrum the M73 at almost 82 feet is the epitome of luxury boating style, space and speed.

"We will set a very high bar indeed at Sydney this year and we feel confident the boating buying public will be impressed."
