Click on ADVERTISER LOGIN on the Home Page (left had side) and then select CREATE ACCOUNT or you can use the embedded link here. Enter your details carefully, read and accept the Terms and Conditions of site usage, and click Continue. If you have any problems please call us on 02 9944 6404 or EMAIL US and we will be happy to set up your account for you.

2) Select the listing you want to edit by clicking View/Edit (Under the Manage Tab)
3) Then on the next screen you will be shown an overview of your listing (you can not edit it from here though instead... ) select Edit Listing (at the top of the page)
4) This will take you to another screen where you can make any changes
5) Please don't forget to press SUBMIT at the bottom once you've finished (you only need to press it once)
6) Your listing will then be resubmitted to the approval queue and your amended listing will be sent live within 24 hours (usually much quicker though!)
7) Click on My Account (top left) to return to you the main menu of your Account Managment page

At the bottom of the EDIT USER DETAILS page you can select PREVIEW PROFILE PAGE. Once you are happy with the way the page will look, click SUBMIT. We are very happy to set up your Profile Home Page for you. Simply EMAIL US with "Create my Home Page" in the subject of the email and we will contact you.
Your page will stay live until you remove it. We will contact you closer to the time to review your Ad Views and Listing Enquiries. You will then be able to make an informed decision as to whether you would like to continue with your listings for a nominal monthly subscription fee.
Absolutely! Buyers can search for Dealers quickly and easily via our DEALER SEARCH PAGE and can find you via the BUSINESS DIRECTORY (please be sure to add your business to this section - it is a separate search feature of the site)
The Enquires Column means that someone has clicked on the CONTACT THIS SELLER button at the bottom of a listing. From here the customer may have:
a. phoned your office
b. emailed you via the secure form
c. emailed directly via your email address
d. gone directly to your website for more information (where applicable)
Once a potential buyer clicks the CONTACT THIS SELLER button it is counted as an enquiry.

Yacht and Boat is a privately owned and funded company with a strong national focus, based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Rest assured that Yacht and Boat have absolutely no hidden affiliations within the marine industry. Our experienced management team come from a variety of business backgrounds including Information Technology, Advertising, Online Marketing and Business Management. Of course, all have a keen interest in recreational boating!
Google takes 12-16 weeks to index and rank a site. The site was created in conjunction with two of Australia's most recognised website optimisation companies to be indexed as efficiently by search engines from launch as possible. In the immediate future "Google Adwords" will be leveraged until the "natural" search rankings start to come through. We are employing many other marketing initiatives on and off line so customers can find the site easily and become familiar with the brand quickly. There are ways you can help the site gain greater visibility too. You may like to link to the Yacht and Boat site from your own website or web page (we are able to assist you with this if you do not have an IT representative). Another great way is to tell your customers about the site. They will find lots of valuable information that enhances their boating experience and they are sure to appreciate hearing about it from you first-hand.
There is no catch. The introductory free period has been created so you have several months to test the site and establish whether you feel there is sufficient benefit in paying for the service in the longer term. It also gives us time to build up site traffic and promote the new site to the media and general public.
Yacht and Boat is not just another classifieds website. Although the classifieds component of the site is what may interest you most, new buyers will be driven to the site for a variety of reasons including the business directory, chandlery corner, boating information, education, safety and leisure equipment, competitions, recipes, weather, legislative updates, industry news and more. The broader benefit of these newcomers visiting the site is that they will go from information- seeking novices through confident purchasers entering the ‘buying phase' - seeking out a dealer and vessel that meets their newly identified requirements.
Prior to developing the website our research showed that there is a significant number of men and women in Australia that are interested in and can afford to enter the boating market but have resisted due to their lack of knowledge. By making it easier for people educate themselves we aim to empower them to become members of the boat-owning community. This benefits the boating industry as a whole and is one of the core functions of Yacht and Boat.
Your item will be displayed until you remove it - ie. it has sold. The only other way it will be deleted from the system is if you do not login once a month and update your listing. You will be sent an automatic reminder email to this effect so please make sure your contact details are kept up to date.
To delete your listing, login to your member account. Select the DELETE button relating to the item that has sold.

If you can not find a category that is suitable for your item please EMAIL US and suggest a category to be added. We will review and respond to your suggestion within 48 hours. Alternatively you can select OTHER in the Category field as you create your listing.
You can place one listing per relevant category. For example, if there are 5 categories that relate to your line of business then you are welcome to submit your business listing to each category. These listings are all checked prior to approval and upload. Inappropriate, irrelevant or multiple registrations will be deleted.

At the bottom of the page you can CHOOSE FILE and select your logo from your computer files. Then once selected, press SUBMIT. If you are creating a new listing you will be given the same opportunity to enter a logo at the bottom of the page after you have keyed in all the other appropriate

If your listing is not appearing in your MY ACCOUNT page when you log in you may not have selected the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the listing. Please resubmit your listing, ensure you press the SUBMIT button when finished. If you listing is appearing in MY ACCOUNT but not on the live site this is because it is pending approval from the Yacht and Boat site administrator. We approve (or reject) all listings within 24 hours. Should you require express approval please EMAIL US with EXPRESS APPROVAL REQUEST in the Subject of your email along with your User Name.
Absolutely! This capability has been built into the site and the functionality is ready to be activated as soon as we feel there is sufficient content in the directories. Much like with the question of cost, the more businesses that register in the directory, the more valuable it is to consumers.

4) Upload your photos (the ideal size is 800 pixels wide) but please CONTACT US if you would like help resizing or uploading images. Click SUBMIT. Your listing will appear live within 48 hours (usually much less) and you will be sent an email when your listing is live.

You are welcome to advertise your used boating gear or equipment in the Chandlery Corner. Boats are not permitted in the Chandlery corner.
