The events that take place on Australia Day are free fun to participate in both on and around the water:

  Best vantage point - Farm Cove, Clark Island, Bradleys Head, Athol Bay, Kirribilli Point and Lavender Bay
• 1.00pm Defence Aerial Display - FA-18
  Best vantage point - Sydney Harbour
• 1.15pm 172nd Australia Day Regatta
  Best vantage point - East of Clark Island
• 2.00pm RAAF Roulettes
  Best vantage point - Sydney Harbour
• 2.30pm Up close judging of the Best Dressed Vessel Competition

• 3.00pm Red Berets Parachute Display
