The Quin Story

The sea has been an integral part of the life of every member of the Quin family since 1836. In that year Captain Hugh Quin arrived in the new colony of South Australia aboard the Cygnet.

Captain Quin's grandson, also Hugh Quin (1880-1950) founded Hugh Quin PtyLtd. at Port Adelaide in 1921 and established a sail loft.

He was followed by his son and grandson in the business that expanded and diversified in different Marine fields supplying goods and service to the marine industry and recreational boaters. Sandy Quin now manages the brokerage section which has been an integral part of the business for over 30 years.
