Lamoore Yacht Sales' Sue Lammert and John Moore began as yacht brokers in 1979 from offices in Mona Vale, relocating in 1981 to waterfront premises on Pittwater at Palm Beach, NSW. Sue and John, along with the rest of the team Tim Lammert, Greg Otto, Elizabeth Monti, Margaret Moore, Mikey Floyd, Bee Higgins, and Amber Wallis continue to run the business.
The success of Lamoore Yacht Sales has been the simple formula of offering owners of yachts and cruisers an honest, simple, six-days-a-week service to market their boat.
Lamoore specialise in taking prospective purchasers by runabout to inspect the yachts and cruisers at the vessel's regular mooring. This allows the owner to continue to use and care for the boat while it is being sold. Moorings are also available for those vendors wishing to bring their boat to Palm Beach. Many thousands of boats have been successfully sold.
Great expertise has been gained in the marketing of yachts and cruisers and excellent contacts established for surveys, slippings, finance, insurance and marine contractors all of which are happily passed on to prospective purchasers, making the deal go as smoothly as possible.
In the mid-1980s, Lamoore branched out into chandlery specialising in marine paints. With the redevelopment of their premises the focus was on brokerage and the chandlery was scaled down to dinghies & accessories, small outboards, premium antifoul paints and marine ropes. All at very competitive prices.
In 2010 Lamoore has expanded its horizons by establishing a branch at Summerland Point on Lake Macquarie. The team at Lake Macquarie, Bruce and Dana Dyson-Smith, has over 20 years combined experience in sales and offer the same services, products and philosophy of sales as Lamoore Palm Beach.
Lamoore Yacht Sales' purpose-built Palm Beach brokerage premises are at 12/1073 Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach, NSW, Australia.
