Welcome to the new Northshore 369.
The concept is a fast, simple, easy to handle One Design racer with a smart usable interior. The 369 OD will be simple enough for two to sail on Wednesday afternoons but quick enough to match it with the best of them on regatta days. The design team once again for Northshore is Jutson Yacht Design.
Jutson has also designed the current Australian "Boat of the Year" for Northshore being the NS 370 Sports.

Designer comments by Scott Jutson
"The Northshore 369 One Design is a development of the successful Northshore 370 Sports. The 370 Sports is the current Australian boat of the year and is a performance cruiser racer, which also fits into the charter market". Mr Jutson goes on to say "We have taken the 370 design and developed it further to achieve a competitive One Design race boat with a very usable nicely finished interior, Northshore are known for their quality workmanship and feel that it is a very important part of resale value".

We have also made sure the 369 OD will fit into the IRC rating system, don't be surprised to see the 369 OD at the top end of the result sheet, she will certainly be very competitive. The IRC rule promotes fast fun boats that don't need to cost an arm and a leg to provide good on - water returns for owners and their crews
The new Northshore 369 OD is aimed firmly at this contemporary market - a market that wants maximum performance for their dollar (and time) with minimum outlay for features that promote obsolescence.
The 369 is designed and built for outstanding all around performance. This begins under water with our high performance vertical fin keel and laminar flow alloyed lead bulb, which puts the weight where it belongs. The hull form is based on the successful NSX 36 and NS 370 Sports design but is longer on the waterline and finer in the stern for increased performance on all point of sail.

The entire structure is designed to meet both ABS requirements as well as Australian Standards and each hull will be certified by NSW Waterways.
The rig is an alloy development of our advanced swept spreader runnerless designs. It is simple to operate for the most casual sailing (a must!) while not lacking in sail area for good light air performance. This is assured by a sail area/wetted surface ratio of 3.37.

The deck layout is a state of the art combination of fast handling and good crew ergonomics, which would not be out of place on a grand prix design. The large diameter wheel and a split mainsheet system controlled by winches means fingertip control of these critical functions and it also insures that the boat will be easily handled by a couple when the pressure of performance gives way to the pure enjoyment of a weekend away.
