To celebrate 30 years of multihull designing and manufacturing, Seawind Catamarans are pleased to announce the new Seawind 1250 Platinum Trans-Pacific (XPac) model
Seawind Catamarans is Australia's largest manufacturer of cruising sail and power catamarans producing some of the world's best designs that are sold all over the globe. Since 1982 the company has been owned and managed by Richard Ward, an experienced yachtsman who has cruised the world, and and has helmed Seawind from strength to strength, now building over 25 boats a year and have built well over 200 catamarans.
Seawind has become Australia's leading catamaran builder due to an uncompromising level of quality, ensuring each boat is always built complete to Seawind’s high level of standards. Our innovations in design have always been ahead of the field with concepts never considered before that prove time and time again to be successful.
Over 80 people are employed by Seawind in two facilities including a 60,000 sq ft factory in Bellambi in Wollongong and a new factory of 12,000 sq ft located in Nowra. Seawind are also a popular brand amongst charter fleets in Australia's beautiful Whitsunday region and many other boats operating in locations such as Sydney Harbour, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Darwin, and Fremantle.

The 5th annual Seawind Moreton Bay Regatta enjoyed some fresh conditions this year with a 15-20 North Easterly blowing the fleet of a dozen Seawind catamarans around the Bay, to the thrill of all the owners and crew onboard.

The locally designed and built Seawind 1000 has firmly marked its position in the marine industry as the most successful cruising sailboat built in the country, with 215 now complete.
The traditional spit roast under a marquee on the lawns of the yacht squadron’s Canaipa Point facility let the crews relax and mingle again as trophies and awards were handed out.
The boat is available in two versions – Corsair C37CR and Corsair C37RS (racing series). The 37CR is build from fibreglass while the 37RS is a full carbon fibre build.
“This is an exciting new development for Sydney’s multihull community,” said Mr Ward. “The marina will have berths for 16 multihull yachts. We will also have a specialist slipway with hardstand and workshops.”
All Yachtshare boats offer premium walk-on, walk-off services including galley utensils, crockery and cutlery for up to eight people.
The Corsair C37 is on display along with the 24ft Dash trimaran, which was recently nominated for European Boat of the Year

Seawind will host a launch party in conjunction with the start of the 11th annual Seawind Pittwater Regatta, where 30 plus Seawinds are expected for Australia’s largest ‘Big Cat’ regatta held over the weekend.
The company is pleased to announce Terry Jones as the new Seawind distributor for Victoria, covering popular sailing destinations such as Port Phillip Bay and the Gippsland Lakes.
“As a production boat, the Seawind 1000 is the most successful sailing boat built in Australia,” Mr Vaughan said.
As the longest event on the Seawind Cruising Club Series calendar, the Whitsunday Rally is beginning to gain legendary status among Seawind owners around the world with a 40% increase in attendance from the initial rally held in 2006.
